John F Deane - Voix Celeste

£10.00

Voix Celeste is a new sequence of poems by John F. Deane inspired by the work of Olivier Messiaen. It follows the 2019 Messiaen sequence like the dewfall, published by Guillemot Press. Once again Deane has teamed up with the artist Tony Martin in this stunning, golden casebound pamphlet.

John F. Deane is the author of more than a dozen poetry collections, including Semibreve, Manhandling the Deity and Naming of the Bones (all on Carcanet), as well as two novels and the poetic faith-memoir Give Dust a Tongue. He is the founder of Poetry Ireland, the Poetry Ireland Review, and of Dedalus Press.

Voix Celeste includes artwork by Tony Martin. Tony studied Fine Art at Leicester Polytechnic and St.Albans, later gaining an MA in Theology from University of Wales, Bangor. He has exhibited for more than three decades. Much of his work is made on paper, mainly drawings, prints and collage. He is fascinated by structure and the division of space with line. Tony's works are made in response to his faith, love of music and poetry.
